There are interactive documents that will require Document Creator information such as name, brokerage, address, etc. The Document Creator labels will tell the text box to autofill with that specific information.

At the top right-hand corner of the page, select the Templates icon that looks like two sheets of paper.
Note: If you are an admin you will want to modify documents from your Business+ profile. Individual agents that need to modify documents will see "Premium" in the top left.

As an Admin the most effective place to modify documents is from the Master folder of documents.
Note: If you are submitting your documents to be set up by the Account Operations team at dotloop, please select the docspot folder. Click here to learn more about the docspot folder.

Click on the name of the document that you need to modify.

All forms are different but most Document Creator fields will be at the bottom of the page.

Click on the ‘Add’ dropdown at the top to see all different interactive fields that can be placed on the document.

Click on ‘Add Text’ and then click and place the field where you need.

Once you place a field you can still move it around or use the bottom right hand corner to resize.

In the top left, click on ‘No Label’. If you don’t see this option then make sure you have the text box selected.

There will be a dropdown with different field labels. You may see what you need there but if not, click on ‘More’.

Type “Document Creator” into the search bar. This will show you all types of document creator field labels and you can choose what the text field needs to autofill with.

Once you have the field label selected click Apply. In this example we just need to label the field to autofill with the document creator name but you will have a list of options beyond that!

With the text field still selected, click on ‘More’ in the top right.

From the More dropdown click on ‘Advanced’.

In order for this field to autofill we need to make it read only. Check the box next to “Make Field Read Only”.

Click ‘Apply’ to apply this advanced option.

Don’t forget to click Save in the top right corner.

Repeat steps 5 to 16 until all Document Creator fields have been placed and labeled.
Note: You can use our Hot Keys to copy the fields you created and paste them on the remaining pages. Click here to see a video and the full list of hot keys.
