Your agents utilize loop templates by selecting the loop template when creating a loop. Admins have the option to require all loops use a Loop Template. There are two ways to apply a loop template: when creating a loop, or after the loop is created.
Apply a loop template when creating a loop
The most common way to apply a loop template is during the loop creation. Agents will start by creating the loop as normal, selecting a loop template on step 3. For full instructions on loop creation at an agent's level, click here.

On the top right of the Loops page, click on the +Add Loop button to start creating a loop.

Fill out your desired loop name. This can be whatever you desire, but we suggest using the property address you are working with. At this step, you can also search for a listing to link to. Start typing the address or MLS number of the property you are working with, and if available, you will see suggestions based on these three resources:
RETS Feed: If the property is available in your MLS through dotloop you can link to all of its property details with one click.
Existing dotloop listing: If you are trying to make an offer on a property that has already been listed in dotloop, click on the listing to automatically link the property address details. The loops available to link to will be listing loops that a Listing Agent has set as an Active Listing.
Google address search: Selecting an address from the Google address search suggestions will fill out that address within your View Details section.
Once an option has been selected you will be asked to confirm that this is the proper listing. You may also be asked to enter your MLS credentials to continue.
Click the Continue button when done.
Note: choose a loop name that will easily identify the loop. Keep in mind that although you can change the loop name for yourself, any person you share documents with will see the original loop name chosen at this step. If linking to a listing, ensure that you are confirming the correct property as once this is confirmed it cannot be unlinked.

If your Company or Team set up a loop template, select one from the dropdown menu and then click the Continue button. If no loop templates are created, agents can skip this step.
Note: if the “REQUIRE LOOPS TO USE A LOOP TEMPLATE” setting is not enabled on an admin profile, agents can press Continue without selecting a loop template to skip this step.
Applying a Loop Template to an Existing Loop
If an admin sets a Loop Template to “Make Global and Hidden,” Loop Templates will automatically be applied when a loop Transaction Type is selected, even if a Loop Template was already applied.
