A task template is simply a reusable Task List, which is a group of tasks you or your agents can load into a loop. As an admin, any task template you create can be added to a loop template or hidden from your agents.

When logged into your dotloop account, click the icon second furthest from the right to go to the templates section.

Any existing task lists will be listed below Tasks.

If there are no task templates created this screen appears, click the Create Task List button.

If there are existing tasks templates, click +Task List at the top right of the Tasks section to add a new list.

Type your task in the text field. Click the Create Task List button when finished.

Click the field and begin typing.

Upon hitting enter on your keyboard, a new text field for another task entry automatically appears. Repeat steps 5 & 6 until the list is complete.
Pro Tip: Tasks can be reordered in any list you have created by clicking and dragging the task to the position you wish to add it. Once done it's complete, no need to save!

Once you are finished adding tasks to your template, you can set tasks to be assigned to a specific person by default when it is brought into a loop. Hover over the blue down arrow to the right of the task name and click No One at the bottom of the dropdown list.

Selecting a due date for the task can be done within the same menu as in step 7. You can select a specific time frame here, or choose to make the task due after another task on the list has been completed. Your changes save automatically.

Each task you make in your list can be removed or renamed by clicking on the options icon to the right of each task.

You also can manage the options of the entire template. Click the overflow icon (3 vertical dots) to the right of the task template name and select an option:
- Rename: this will allow you to rename the task list.
- Delete: this deletes the entire task list (and cannot be undone).
- Hide from team by default: this option will hide the task list from anyone in your loop that would normally have access to view it (i.e. people who are listed as on my team in a loop, such as people you have added to your team or admins).
- Lock by default: this allows anyone on your team in a loop to be able to see your task list, but not be able to edit it.
