Making your listing active is important for collaborating with agents making offers on your listing through dotloop. It allows buying agents to find your existing loop and share their offer directly into the documents section of your listing. This avoids the need to merge loops or manage offers across multiple loops. Without taking the important steps of making a listing active, your loop will not be searchable to buying agents.
To make your listing active, open your listing loop and follow these steps:
At the top of your loop, below the loop name, click on the View Details button.
In the top left corner of the View Details page, click the dropdown list under Transaction Type and choose Listing for Sale.
Note: you can also choose the Transaction Type Listing for Lease for rental listings.

To the right of Transaction Type, you will see a dropdown list for Loop Status. Select Active Listing from the dropdown list.

In the People section of the View Details page, locate your personal contact record and click the dropdown list to set your role to Listing Agent.
Below the People section on the View Details page is the Property Address section. You can choose to fill in the property address, MLS number, or both.
NOTE: if you choose to only input the MLS number, agents making an offer on your listing will only be able to find your listing loop by typing in the MLS number.

The required fields to make your listing searchable using the property address are country, street number, street name, city, state/prov, and zip/postal code.
