Your dotloop account contains a global tasks section that will show you all tasks across all of the loops in your account. Here you can also create general, personal tasks that you don’t want or need to be attached to a loop. Personal tasks can be used as a reference for you to complete items that may be outside of a current transaction. If you assign a due date to these tasks, you will receive notifications to complete the tasks.

Click the Tasks icon at the top of the page, located between Loops and People, to take you to the Tasks section.

Global Tasks defaults to the Personal Task section where you can create and view personal tasks that are not connected to any loops. Use the left navigation menu to filter these tasks based on the following criteria:

- Assigned to me: displays all tasks that are assigned to you
- Overdue: shows tasks that are currently past their assigned due date
- Completed: displays all completed tasks
- All tasks: every task will show here, regardless of of assignment or status

To add a new personal task, click +Add Task in the blue bar, to the far right. Type your task in the text field and hit Enter on your keyboard to save it.

Click on the overflow icon to the right of any task you wish to rename or delete and choose the appropriate option.

Personal tasks are set with a due date of today's date by default. To the right of each task, click on the link to change the due date for each task, as well as assign the task.

You can only assign tasks to yourself in the Personal Tasks section. You can do so by clicking on "NO ONE" in dropdown and choosing your name. After you have assigned the task to yourself and set a due date, you will be notified daily of upcoming tasks that need to be completed.
Note: If you’ve edited your notification settings in My Account, you may not receive daily task reminders via email, but can still view all your upcoming and completed tasks in this section.

As you move through your task list, check off what you have completed by selecting the checkbox to the left of each task. You can complete tasks under any status.
Click on Loop Tasks to see tasks associated with loops. Use the left navigation menu to filter tasks on the same criteria as Personal Tasks. You can also use the overflow menu to rename, delete, or view the loop for each task. If you delete a task here, the task will also be deleted in the loop. Adjust due dates, or unassign tasks by selecting “NO ONE” in the task dropdown, similar to step 4.

Click on the loop name next to the task to view the associated loop.

If you received any shared documents for signing, tasks for incomplete documents will appear here as well. Click the document link to view any documents.

Complete tasks by check marking the box on each task. If you check off a task in the Loop Tasks section, this will also mark the task complete in the loop.
