The My Loops search bar is a powerful tool for quickly finding any loop by searching anything contained within all of your loops. The search bar provides the ability to search for loops by typing in anything from the loop name, people within a loop, or many of the loop details.

You can search for loops based on any of the fields in the View Details section of a loop, such as:
- Property Address
- Loop Name Title (if different from the property address)
- MLS Number (if entered in the loop)
- Clients name
- Assigned role in the loop
- Agent’s Name
- Folder Name
- Listing Date
- Closing date
- Occupancy Date
- Expiration date
- Date submitted for review
- Referral
Typing into the search bar will return results in real-time. A dropdown list will appear, showing you the results. Scroll through this list to find the appropriate loop. By default, dotloop will only return items based on your current Filter setup. Any field that closely matches your search term will be highlighted in yellow . You may click directly on the search result in the dropdown list to be taken to that loop, or continue to step 2.
Note: if you wish to only search for exact terms then you can simply put quotation marks around your search. For example, if you only want to return results for loops named 123 Main St then you will enter it into the search bar as “123 Main St”.

After typing your search term, click the Enter or Return key on your keyboard to display the results below in a larger format.

If no desired results are returned in the search dropdown or on the loops page, you can click the Search all loops option from one of the scenarios shown above. Selecting this will bypass all filter settings to search all visible and hidden loops (even archived loops!).
Once you have found the loop you are looking for, click on the name of the loop to open it. If this is not the correct loop, continue to the next step.

If you have selected the wrong loop from the results, dotloop will remember your search results, allowing you to quickly go back. Click either your browser’s back button or the Back to My Loops link at the top of the loop. This allows you to seamlessly search through loops without having to type your search terms every time.
