Note: Before Importing Completed Loops into Command, you will want to be sure that the baseline Command required fields are completed in the loop – the transaction type and loop status. Without this information, the loop will not import.
Step 1: Activate and Connect Command and dotloop
If you have already done so, then skip to Step 2. If not, please refer to Activating and Connecting Command and dotloop
Step 2: Click on the Opportunities Icon
On your Command homepage, click on Opportunities in the vertical bar of icons on the left.
Step 3: Click on Import from Dotloop
On the Opportunities homepage you will see a blue banner at the top of your screen. To the far right in the banner, click on Import from dotloop.
Step 4: Log in to dotloop
A dotloop login pop-up will appear. Enter your dotloop credentials, and then click on Sign In.
Note: This will be the email address that you receive dotloop email notifications. If you do not know what this is, open a new window and access your dotloop account via eEdge. Once in the account, hover over the top right-hand icon. In the dropdown, directly under your name and Member ID, choose My Account. You will automatically be taken to the Account Settings, and in here you will see to the right Personal Information. Under your Last Name you will see Email Address, this is the email address assigned to the account.
Step 5: Approve dotloop
A verification will appear. Click on Approve.
Step 6: Click on Import
A green banner will appear stating “dotloop validation successful. You can now import Opportunities.” You will now see a button to the left of Create Opportunity that says Import. Click on Import.
Step 7: Choose which Pipeline and which Profile
An Import Loops pop-up will appear for you to select the Pipeline to import the loop to. Under “Import to which pipeline?” make your selection, then click on Continue. You will now see “Importing from dotloop profile” underneath the profile name you will be importing from in dotloop. To verify this, click Continue.
Step 8: Select Loop(s), then Import Selected
An Import Loops pop-up will appear. Here, you are able to select which loops you would like to create Opportunities for. Once you have selected the loop(s), click on Import Selected.
Note: You can only select a maximum of 25 at a time. If you have already imported a loop, it will be greyed out, so that you do not import a loop more than once.
Step 9: Skip or Review
An Import Complete pop-up will appear that will provide an overview of the number of loops that were imported successfully, could not be imported, and those that have fields that need to be manually reviewed. You can Skip Review or Review Now; however, it is strongly encouraged to choose Review Now to ensure the Opportunities are successfully created for those loops.
Step 10: Review loops
If you chose Review Now in the previous step, you will review each loop’s required fields and edit as needed. After completing each loop, choose Save & Continue at the bottom of the page until you have reviewed each loop.
You are now able to find the Opportunity, and add the documents as needed to submit. To learn more, please refer to Syncing a Document in dotloop to an Opportunity
Note: There are two ways to find Opportunities created from the Import Loops feature.
-
- In the Opportunities section, click on the All Opportunities tab at the top of the page. All loops that have been imported will have a tag of Imported from dotloop, this can be helpful when searching through your Opportunities. You can also use the Filters to filter for the tag.
- On your Opportunities homepage, select the type of transaction (Listings, Buyers, Leases), and then which stage (Cultivate, Appointment, Active, Under Contract, Closed). If in the List View, you will scroll to the bottom of the page, under Legacy. If in the Board View, you will want to scroll all the way to the right under the Legacy column.
