Within a loop you have the ability to add in new contacts, as well as edit existing contacts. There are a few ways to accomplish adding in these new contacts to your loop, let's go over them.
- Adding and editing contacts in the loop
- Adding contacts during autofill
- Adding contacts within a document
- Adding contacts while sharing
Adding and editing contacts in the loop
To start adding contacts to your loop, let's first navigate to the loop. While in the loop you will see a section labeled PEOPLE. To the right, tap on the blue plus sign.
We will now be taken to the Add person screen. Here you will want to type the full name of the person you are adding, as it should appear on the signature lines of your documents. Be sure to also add their email address (only one per person), as well as select a role. You have the option to send a welcome email, add them to your team, or type in a custom message that will appear in the body of the email sent. note: adding someone to your team is only advised for other parties you are working with that you want to give full permanent access to the loop and its contents. This is irreversible and will also no longer allow you to share anything with the person added to your team.
To edit someone in your loop, navigate back to the PEOPLE section of your loop. Find the person you wish to edit and tap on the three vertical dots to the right of their name. This will present you with a few options: EDIT, INTRODUCE, ADD TO TEAM, REMOVE, and ROLE. Let's go more in depth on these options.
Edit - This option allows you to edit the selected person. Here you can change their name, email, or role. note: you many not be able to edit some or any of these options, depending if the person in question has an account. If they do have an account, you can reach out to that person and request that they change their account information.
Introduce - Introducing allows you to connect one contact in your loop to another. Use this to introduce professionals you work with to your clients for example!
Add to Team - Adding someone to your team allows you to grant permanent access to the loop, and everything within it to another person. This cannot be undone. When on your team, the person can see everything you do in the loop, as well as allow you to see anything they do in the loop. In essence, you're sharing your loop. You will also want to note that once someone is on your team, you can no longer share anything with them, as you are sharing the whole loop.
Remove - This option removes the person from the loop. This will not effect any signed documents, but will unassign all unsigned signature and initial fields that we assigned to the person on every document in the loop.
Role - Role allows you to change, or select the appropriate role for the selected person. Roles are useful for autofilling documents so make sure to have them set before autofilling!
Adding contacts during autofill
When opening a document, and in the autofill window, you will see a section labeled with the roles that exist on the document. Here you can tap on the three vertical dots to the right of the role you are wishing to add, which is labelled Select Assignee. This will pop a menu up from the bottom of the screen where you can choose Add Person to add a new person to this role.
Adding contacts within a document
If you are within a document and need to add a new person to assign a field to, you can do so in a few easy steps. First, with the document open, tap on the Edit button a the top.
Next, tap on the field you wish to assign. This will open an option above the field labelled Assign. Tap on this to continue.
In the next menu, tap on the Add Person option. This will take you to the add person screen, where you can add the name and email address of the person. Doing this will not only add the person to your loop, but assign them to that field to allow for signing.
If you are sharing a document and wish to add an additional person to view or edit the document in private, you can do so here. While in the Share Document window tap on the option labeled Add Person. This will take you to the add person window where you can add the name and email address of the person you wish to share with.
