Signing documents within the mobile app can be accomplished in just a few taps! Whether you are a client signing a document for your real estate agent, or and agent trying to sign your own documents, dotloop can accomplish any signing task you may need!
Signing a document sent to you
Signing documents shared with you on the iOS mobile app is a quick and easy process. If you have the app installed, and notifications enabled, you will receive a notification to sign the document, or documents, shared to you.
Selecting the notification on your device will open up the mobile app, and automatically open the document(s) shared with you. You will see a prompt that you were shared a document to complete, asking if you'd like to be guided through the signing process. Choose Yes.
At the top you will see a notification bar showing you how many fields you have available, as well as how many you have completed. Below that you will be automatically directed to your first field. This field will be flashing asking you to tap on it. Proceed to tap on this field.
Now you will see the Add signature screen. Here you will want to ensure that your signature is correct. If you need to modify it, tap on the grey bar with your name printed inside of it. This will open your keyboard to allow you to make any edits on your signature. Once completed, tap Confirm at the top right.
You will now be brought back to the document, and dotloop will guide you through each field, asking you to tap on the field to sign. Once complete you will see at the bottom of the screen a notification area letting you know you're almost done, and to click confirm signing to finish. Tap now on the bar that reads Confirm Signing.
Now dotloop will let you know that your document has automatically been shared back to the sender. That's it, you've completed signing! If you would like to go back and look at the loop, tap Back To Loop at the bottom of the screen.
If you are preparing a document in your account, and wish to sign it, you are able to do so directly from within the document while in the mobile app! Let's start by opening the document you wish to sign, and tap on the Edit button at the top of the document editor. This allows us to go into the editing mode of the document.
Now, navigate to the signature or initial box requiring your signature or initials. Once you have found the field, tap on it.
When tapping on the field, in this example a signature field, you will be presented with the option to Assign above the field. If the field is already assigned to you and ready for your signing, proceed to the next step. If the field has not prompted you to sign, you will see the option to Assign.
You will now see a list of the available people and roles to assign the field to. Choose your name from this list.
Now tap on the field again, this time choosing the option Sign.
Now you will see the Add signature screen. Here you will want to ensure that your signature is correct. If you need to modify it, tap on the grey bar with your name printed inside of it. This will open your keyboard to allow you to make any edits on your signature. Once completed, tap Confirm at the top right.
Once successfully signed, you can navigate through the document, repeating the steps above until you are finished. Once complete, be sure to tap the SAVE button at the top.
