To ensure the smoothest dotloop experience, it is always a good idea to make sure your browser is up to date, as well as perform some basic maintenance from time to time. To make sure you are using the best supported web browser for your system, please refer here.
Here is a list of browsers with some basic maintenance tips:
Basic browser maintenance on the Microsoft Edge browser can be done quickly by just following a few easy steps! First we click on the three-point menu icon at the top right corner of the browser.
Next, we will click on the Settings option.
Under the Settings menu you will see the option to Clear browsing data. Click on the Choose what to clear button.
Lastly, we will see a list of check box options. (1)Make sure to only have the 'Cookies and saved website data' and 'Cached data and files' selected. (2)Click on the Clear button and you're done! (3)It's also good practice to turn on the slider option 'Always clear this when I close the browser'.
Updating to the latest version of Internet Explorer can be accomplished by running a Windows Update. If you are having trouble with updating, you can always download the Offline Installer for Internet Explorer.
To perform regular maintenance let's follow a few steps. First, let's navigate to the Tools icon at the top right of your browser (this can also be opened by pressing Alt+X).
Next we will click on Internet Options.
Under the Browsing History section click on the "Delete..." button.
Here in the Browsing History we have a few options of what we want to delete. As our browsers can get clogged with temporary files and cookies let's choose only the options to clear those out. Make sure to check only "Temporary Internet files and website files", as well as "Cookies and website data", then choose "Delete".
When Internet Explorer has completed deleting the browsing history it will display at the bottom of your browser.
That's it! Doing this every now and then will ensure a smooth browsing experience.
