Using templates while working within dotloop is fundamental in getting the most out of your account. If you are connected to a brokerage or association that has an agreement with dotloop, you can import all necessary documents for your particular transaction into the loop. You can also create your own folders in the Templates section to keep all your frequently used, transaction based documents in one folder, in any order you like.
Streamlining required documents is as simple as copying brokerage or association documents into a personal template folder. Following the necessary steps when working with templates will save you countless hours, allowing you to close more deals while maintaining compliance with your brokerage.
In addition to documents, you may also have access to Task Templates and Clauses provided by your company in this section.
When logged into your dotloop account, click the icon second furthest from the right to go to the templates section. After orienting yourself with the different Templates features below, be sure to check out the other articles in this section to learn more.

Note:
- Locked templates must be copied into a personal folder in order to fully edit - learn more here.
- When association document forms are updated, you will need to copy the updated form into any corresponding personal folders to update the copy.
- If you do not see template folders provided by your brokerage, check within profiles under My Account for the correct brokerage attachment.
- Brokerage folders can only be duplicated
