In most cases, interactive documents in template folders will be locked from making certain changes. These forms already contain the fields you need to complete them, and will work in most situations. However, you may run into transactions where you need to edit a form for more than the standard number of clients/signers or need to add additional information to a form. For example:
- You have a third signer, and need to add an additional set of signatures and initials
- You need to initial a change
- You need to add a date or strikethrough
- You received a document that already has signatures, but you still need to make an edit
In these cases, you’ll need to take some additional steps in order to set up your forms.

Open a document and click or hover on Add in the toolbar. If you may add fields, the document is not locked. If the options are greyed-out, this means the owner of the form (your brokerage or association) disabled adding additional signatures or initials to the document.
Note: This setting can be changed by your brokerage or association. You may notify them of your request and once they make the change, you can add a new copy of the document to your loop to add new fields.

Check the document. Make a Copy appears with a list of links next to the Documents section header. Click the Make a Copy link.
You can also Make a Copy by clicking on the 3 vertical dots to the far right of the document name.

This option preserves signatures and flattens all of the fields, similar to a scanned document or printed paper.

You may use the search bar to find your loop if the list is long.

Upon completing this step, you'll see a new PDF copy of the file at the top of your list of documents.

Add fields by clicking Add in the document toolbar. The full array of field options are available to add to the new document copy. Learn more about setting up interactive documents here.
