Within your dotloop account is a viewable audit trail of every action completed by you and those you are working with in each loop. This log allows you to see when you've shared documents, when your clients have signed documents, when fields were modified, and so much more! We have the ability to view the activity of your entire account, a loop, a specific document, and even a single field on a document.
The activity log organizes all actions on your account within your loops by date and time, as well as by loop. Within the activity log we can quickly access loops and documents that are highligted (in blue in this example) by clicking on their name.
Also, within the activity log we can change the date range to see activity from different periods of time.
To see the activity of your entire account, navigate to your loops page. Here you will see the link for the ACTIVITY LOG.
If you wish to see the activity of just a single loop, navigate to that loop and the ACTIVITY LOG link will be in the same location.
When you want to go more in depth and see the activity history of a specific document, we can do so with the DOCUMENT HISTORY. This will show us every version of a document that you have worked on. Any previous version of the document is available for you to view or download at any time.
note: you can only download the document version from this window. If you choose to view the document, you will need to return to the history to download the version you were viewing.
We can find the document history one of two ways. First, from within the loop.
Or from directly within the document.
The field history feature allows you to view the activities of a single field within a document. This is helpful to identify any changes to a field, as well as what the previous values of that field were! You will also be able to see exactly who made the changes (as long as the person has a dotloop account).
To access this feature, navigate to a field on a document and click on that field. Once clicked, navigate to the top menu bar and you will see the DOCUMENT HISTORY icon.
