For Android users having issues with:
- Logging in and receiving the prompt to update the app but they don't have the app.
- Issues with the Android phone asking clients to download an app when opening documents.
This is due to having instant apps turned on. Instructions to disable can be found here: https://learn.g2.com/instant-apps
If the agent sees "an error has occurred" message when opening a document on the Android App have them delete and re-install the app. We have updated to resolve this issue.
NOTE: If it is a situation of wanting to leave Google Instant Play on, you can press and hold on the VIEW DOCUMENTS button/link in the email and select 'OPEN URL in browser' to be directed to the website to sign.
With a recent Android OS update, Google Play released a feature called Google Play Instant.
This feature allows websites to open within the related app, directing the user to the app instead of the browser. This can cause problems when trying to sign documents that have been received. When you attempt to click on the VIEW DOCUMENTS link, the dotloop Android App will direct you to a log-in screen to continue. To disable Google Play Instant, please follow the steps below:
NOTE: If there's an issue locating the settings for Google Instant Play, you can also search 'instant' in the 'Settings' menu, and 'Google Play Instant' will appear at the top as an option.
