Within the dotloop New My Loops page is the Messenger section, which is a great way to keep in contact with your clients or create group messages! The best part? This enables your clients to interact with you solely via text messaging! As an added benefit too, when interacting with clients via text messaging, we will generate a phone number for you (based on your area code!) so that you can keep your own personal phone number private. Clients can save this number generated by our system and interact with you directly from that phone number!
To begin, click on the message bubble on the left side of the loop page.
If this is your first time interacting with Messenger, your page will appear as it does below. After you send your first message however, all messages will appear here! Also, these messages will be cross platform between our mobile apps! To start a new conversation, click on one of the two places marked below.
You will now have a section at the top where you can type in a name, phone number, or email address. Below, you will also see all of your dotloop contacts!
If you click on a contact, it will add their name to the To: field at the top of the page. You will note that since we are interacting this way, we're showing that we will be reaching out to Barry via email.
Alternatively, you can simply type the phone number of the person you wish to message! This is helpful because you can fully interact with someone solely via text message.
If you wish to message multiple people at once, you can add more recipients in the To: field. This will start a group message with everyone selected. When ready to proceed to the message, click Next at the top of the page.
In this example, we're going to go with just sending a text message to Barry. You'll type your message at the bottom of the page, click send, and then you'll see it appear in the message area! Below the message you can see that it was delivered, and what time it was delivered.
Your recipient will then receive a text containing your message. All they need to do is simply reply to the text!
Great! We can see that Barry has wrote us back and is ready to make some offers!
On a final note, you can see the details of the conversation, and it's recipients, by clicking the i icon at the top of the conversation.
This is our first step to creating an easier way to interact with clients, and there are some exciting things coming for Messenger. The desktop version currently only supports messaging, but be sure to download one of our mobile apps, which allows the ability to share documents to a recipient via text message! Happy Looping!
Note: Messenger is free to use for all users, but the creation of new conversations is a Premium feature.
