The dotloop mobile app provides you with many ways to add documents. Documents can be added from your templates, email, and even from many apps on your device that have PDF's saved to them. The dotloop app will alsoallow you to use your device's camera to scan in documents! Let's go through each way you can add a document via the mobile app.
The scan document option will allow you to utilize your device's camera to photograph a document and scan it into dotloop! This is very useful for being on the go and needing to quickly add a document and set it up for signing from anywhere! Let's begin by clicking on the plus icon at the bottom of the loop.
We will now select the Scan document option.
The camera on your device will now open. Ensure to get a clear picture and use the camera to capture the document.
Once you've gotten a clear image, you will be taken to the Add Document screen where you can name the file, and choose the folder to place it in. Click on the check mark at the top right to finish and add the document to your loop!
The dotloop mobile app will allow you to add documents from the templates section of your profile. These templates could come from various options, such as your brokerage, association, or documents you have uploaded yourself into your templates. let's begin by tapping the plus icon at the bottom.
We will now be presented with our adding options. Tap the option labeled Add from template.
On the Add Document window, you will see all of your available templates, organized within folders. Listed will be your personal folder (which will house any personal documents you have uploaded), your inbox (which will display any documents emailed into your templates), as well as any folder containing documents uploaded by your office or association. Tap on the boxes to the left of each document you wish to add, or tap on the box next to the folder to select all documents within that folder. Once you have all your documents selected, tap on the check mark at the top of the screen.
Next, we will select a folder to place the document into. The folder dropdown will display all the folders within your loop. Once selected, tap on the check mark at the top of the screen. This will successfully add your document(s) to the loop!
Adding documents from device will allow us to add any PDF documents that we have stored. These can come from either your device's built in storage, or via apps like Google Drive or OneDrive. Let's begin by tapping the plus icon at the bottom of your documents page.
We will now be presented with our adding options. Tap the option labeled Add from device.
Choosing this option will open up a menu and display all available apps that dotloop can add PDF's from to put them into your loop. Simply select the appropriate app and find your document to add it to your loop!
Within the dotloop app we have the ability to add a document to our loop via email. This will allow us to either forward existing emails, or create a new email from your devices existing email programs. Start by navigating to your loop, in the documents section, and tap the plus icon at the bottom.
We will now be presented with our adding options. Tap the option labeled Add from email.
In the Add Document window you will see a few options. First, select the folder you are adding the document to. You will now be presented with an email address. This email address can be copied if you wish to forward an email containing a PDF attachment to the loop.
Alternatively, if you tap the send icon at the top, you will be presented with your devices built in mail apps, which will open up a new email containing the email address for the loop.
