Creating a loop within the dotloop Android mobile app is quick and easy! Let's first get started and open up your app. You will start off on your loops page, where you will see any loops that you may have on your profile.
To create your loop, start by tapping on the plus symbol displayed on the loops page, as shown below.
We will now be prompted to name the loop. It is a good idea to name your loop something easily identifiable, such as a property address, or your clients name and property address. Once you have named the loop, tap on the check mark button at the top right.
We will now be taken to the loop. Let's next move on to adding people to your loop.
At this stage we want to add the people to the loop that we will be working with. Let's start by tapping on the tab labeled PEOPLE.
The PEOPLE tab of your loop will display all the people currently in your loop. To add a new person, click on the icon at the bottom.
The next screen we will be prompted with will ask us to fill out some information about the person we are adding. Ensure to type the full name of the person as it should appear on the documents, add an email, and select their appropriate role. You can choose to send a welcome email with a customized message to the people you have added to the loop. The welcome email will let the person know that you have added them to the loop. Once you have completed all the fields, tap the check mark icon at the top.
You will want to repeat this step for everyone you need to add into the loop. Once added, let's move on to the next step: Adding a template document.
Let's now go over adding a document from your templates. To do this, navigate to your loop and tap on the plus symbol at the bottom. This will give you a list of options to add a document from. For this example, select Add from template.
On the Add Document window, you will see all of your available templates, organized within folders. Listed will be your personal folder (which will house any personal documents you have uploaded), your inbox (which will display any documents emailed into your templates), as well as any folder containing documents uploaded by your office or association. Tap on the boxes to the left of each document you wish to add, or tap on the box next to the folder to select all documents within that folder. Once you have all your documents selected, tap on the check mark at the top of the screen.
Next, we will select a folder to place the document into. The folder dropdown will display all the folders within your loop. Once selected, tap on the check mark at the top of the screen. This will successfully add your document(s) to the loop!
Now that we are ready to share our documents we can do so one of two ways. Single documents can be shared one at a time, or we can share every document within a folder. We will go over both options before sharing.
To share a single document, you will first open the document. This can be done by tapping on the document name.
When you have the document open, ensure it is prepared for sharing and completely filled out, with all signatures and initials properly assigned. Now, tap the share button at the top of the page as shown below.
Alternatively, if you wish to share all the documents within a folder in your loop, 1. tap on the check box to the left of each document you wish to share, and then 2. tap on the share icon at the top of the page.
Utilizing either method of sharing will bring us to the share window. Here, we can choose who to share the document (or documents) with. Tap the check box for each person you wish to share with, and ensure to select the appropriate share permission. However, if you already have fields assigned to anyone in the loop, they will automatically be checked with the appropriate signing permission.
Lastly, before sharing, you can type a custom message to the recipient(s) at the bottom of this screen. Also, you can tap Attach PDF to email if you would like to include a PDF attachment to the email. Once we're all done, tap the share icon at the top right.
That's it! We're now done, and your recipient will receive an email guiding them through the signing process. Once signed you will receive a notification letting you know they have successfully signed any documents shared with them.
