The dotloop mobile app provides you with many ways to add documents. Documents can be added from your templates, email, dropbox, and even from many apps on your device that have PDF's saved to them. Let's go through each way you can add a document via the mobile app.
With this feature, dotloop allows you to utilize your devices camera to take a picture of a document to 'scan' it into our system. Start off by choosing the Scan a Document option.
The first time you choose this option your iOS device will prompt you to ask for permission to access you camera. Choose OK.
You will now see your camera activate and you can begin taking pictures of each page of your document. Once ready, tap on the blue circular button at the bottom of the screen. This will take the first picture.
Alternatively, you can choose pictures from your camera roll gallery by tapping on the icon at the bottom left.
Continue to take a picture of each page of the document. Once you have finished, tap on the check mark icon at the bottom right. This icon will display the amount of pages you have scanned.
We can now review each picture. At the bottom of the page you have the ability to crop the photo, adjust the brightness, move page order, or select a photo from your cameral roll to insert, as well as delete the current image. Once satisfied, tap DONE at the top right.
At this stage we will be asked to name the document.
Once you have named the document tap the DONE button at the top right and the document will be added to your loop!
With this option, dotloop allows you to choose one or more photos to combine together and convert to a PDF via your devices camera roll gallery. Start by tapping on the Photos option.
Upon choosing this option for the first time, you will be prompted to allow the app to access your photos. Click OK. You will now be taken to your devices photo gallery. Click on each photo you wish to use, then select DONE at the bottom of the screen.

Once you have named the document tap the DONE button at the top right and the document will be added to your loop!
The dotloop mobile app will allow you to add documents from the templates section of your profile. These templates could come from various options, such as your brokerage, association, or documents you have uploaded yourself into your templates. let's begin by selecting the From Template option.
You will now be presented with a list of folders that are available in your templates. Each of these folders can be tapped to open and display the documents within them. You also have a search bar at the top to help find a document quickly.
Select either singular documents by tapping on the square check box to the left of each document, or tap on the check box to the left of a folder to select all the documents within a folder. Once selected, tap on the ADD button at the top right, adding the documents to your loop!
With the mobile app you have the ability to upload documents from the Dropbox app. This will require that you have the Dropbox mobile app on your device. Start by tapping on the Dropbox option.
The first time you select this option, the app will ask for permission to access Dropbox. Choose Open. You will now be directed to the Dropbox mobile app. Navigate to the document you wish to upload and tap on it. This will upload the document to your loop.
Uploading a document via email is simple and fast. Choose the Via Email option.
You will now be directed to a page which will display your upload email address. Choose the COPY TO CLIPBOARD option at the bottom of the page. This will copy your upload email address.
Now, open up your favorite email app. You can either send a document, or forward an email containing a PDF attachment. Once the email is ready, tap on the to: field (where you would type the recipients email address), and choose the paste option. This will paste your copied email address. Once done, send the email, and dotloop will receive the PDF attachment you sent!
Beyond the standard uploading options, you can copy documents from your favorite apps to dotloop! The app will require the ability to AirDrop the PDF from one app to another.
Let's show an example of using AirDrop to upload a document to dotloop.
Start by opening the app (in this scenario, I have chosen the Google Drive app) and navigating to your document.
With this app, to access AirDrop we must choose to Send a copy and then Open in.
This will now present us with the AirDrop menu where we can select the dotloop app.
The dotloop app will now open up and present us with the ability to add the document to a Loop or Templates.
If you select to add the document to a loop you can utilize the search bar to quickly find and add the document to the loop!
