Your loops page is your central hub for your loops. Here you can view, manage, and edit all of your loops within your profile. On this page are many powerful tools that can allow you to completely customize your loops page!

At the top of your loops page you can customize how your loops display, as well as which loops display. To change the loop view you prefer, navigate to the top of the page and click on the icon at the top. This will toggle between GRID VIEW and LIST VIEW.
Grid view is our default setting. This allows you to show a quick and easy visual overview of all your loops. In this view, the loops will display as only big circles with the loop name. Any picture you have uploaded for the loop will also display in this view.
List view is a more streamlined and easily searchable view for your loops. This will allow you to search for loops as well as view quick information on the loop, such as it's transaction type and loop status. We recommend utilizing the list view if you have many loops.
To sort which loops appear on your home page, click the FILTER link from the sub menu. When you do, the filter options will appear above your loops. Opening filters will allow you to select up to 9 filter options per section.
If you're looking for a loop or loops based on a specific office review status (recommended only for admins), simply check that status under Office Review Stage.
You can also look for loops based on its completion status. It is suggested if you are an agent to focus solely on this section, as you can set your loop statuses to reflect your filters, allowing you to only see your active loops!
Lastly, you can further filter loops based on a specific tag. This is a powerful tool for admins to create tags for loops and create a custom way to filter your office's loops.
Once you've made your status selections, click the large filter button to show only loops that meet those criteria.
- Setting up your filters with all active statuses will allow you to only show loops that you are working on, while filtering out loops you have completed.
- The default settings for filters are No Status, Private Listing, Active Listing, Under Contract, Pre-Listing, Pre-Offer, New and In-Progress.
- Active statuses are: No Status, Private Listing, Active Listing, Under Contract, Pre-Listing, Pre-Offer, New, and In-Progress.
- Inactive Statuses are: Sold, Leased, Archived, Withdrawn, Terminated and Done.
- If you ever cannot find your loops don't worry, they're not gone! Simply use the clear all button in the filter section and then you will be able to search all of the loops in your account!
Each loop you create has the ability to set a transaction type, followed by a loop status. We recommend setting these as the first step of any loop you create. The transaction type tells the loop how to react. This will set up the loop to function properly and provide the proper roles for people within the loop. Loop statuses are a great way to notify yourself which stage of the transaction you are currently on. The loop statuses are also how your filters decide which loops to display.
The transaction type and loop status of a loop can be changed quickly by making a selection underneath the loop name. This is accessible within a loop or on the loops page if you have list view active.
- Any loops with an old transaction type and/or loop status with be highlighted in red until you update them to a new transaction type and loop status
- All loops with an old loop status will show by choosing the filter option NO STATUS if they do not fit a new status type
- Every 30 days the system will highlight the loop status of a loop if it has not been updated, unless the status is completed (Sold, Leased, etc.) or archived.
- A transaction type must be selected to edit the additional details for persons in a loop via the more button underneath their role in the View Details section.
Sorting your loops is a great tool to help you stay organized. Lets review the way sorting works. Loop sorting happens after the filter, so first your loops will run through your filter, then they will sort based on the sort option you chose from the above menu. These options can be selected via the top SORT BY: menu.
- DEFAULT: The default sort option will sort your loops in a way that dotloop has predicted will be the most helpful. This is a combination of your last updated loop and the number of notifications within that loop, in descending order.
- ADDRESS: Sorting by address will sort your loops numerically first, then alphabetically, based on the address you provided in the Edit Details of your loops, not the title of the loop. For example: 123 Main Street will display before 123 Wynne Place. On that same note, 1123 Main Street will display before 123 Main Mainstreet. This is because dotloop looks at the first character, then the second, then the third, etc and sorts by those characters. Loops that do not have addresses entered in the Edit Details will display at the bottom of the list.
- LAST UPDATED: Sorting by last updated is very straightforward. If anything has changed in a loop - document signing, review stages, people being added, messages sent, etc., the most recent loop meeting these requirements will appear at the top of the list. Loops will display in descending order based on the last change made within them.
- MLS NUMBER: Sorting by the MLS Number is very similar to sorting by address. It is based on the first, second, third, etc., character in the MLS Number. So, 11458973 would come before 18556, for example.
- PURCHASE PRICE: Sorting by Purchase Price will display your loops in order by the dollar amount entered in the purchase price field within a loop's VIEW DETAILS page. The largest number displaying first, the lowest displaying last. Loops without a purchase price in the view details will be moved to the bottom of the list.
- LISTED DATE: Sorting by Listed Date will pull the listing date from the Edit Details page of each loop, displaying the loops with the newest listing date first. Loops without the listing date filled out in Edit Details will display at the bottom of the list.
- EXP. DATE: Sorting by Expiration Date will display loops that expire soonest or have already expired, based on the expiration field under the LISTING INFORMATION portion of a loop's VIEW DETAILS page.
- CLOSING DATE: Sorting by Closing Date will display loops that close soonest or have already closed, based on the closing date field under the CONTRACT DATES portion of a loop's VIEW DETAILS page.
- SUBMITTED FOR REVIEW DATE: Sorting by Submitted For Review Date will sort loops that were submitted for review most recently, first.
You may have noticed on your loops page that some loops have a colored circle around them. Some will be colored all the way around, some will be partially filled in. These circles are referring to the completion percentage of tasks in a loop.
- What we can tell right away is that within the first loop, all tasks are completed, the second loop has fifty percent of tasks complete so the loop is halfway complete, and the last loop has zero tasks completed OR there are no tasks in this loop.
- This percentage indicator is referring to any tasks within that loop and only tasks.
- If there are no tasks within a loop, then the circle surrounding the loop will be grey.
The activity log is a useful tool for examining actions that have taken place in all loops of your account. The activity log can be found in the top right hand corner of your main loops page.
The activity log is sorted by both date and which loop has the most recent activity.
By default, the activity log is not going to display all history since the creation of the account, only the last seven days. In the top right hand corner of the activity log, you can set the range of dates to display. This is useful if you are looking for specific activity in a given time frame.
- The activity log will display loops from your entire account, not just the profile you are currently working in.
- Clicking on a loop or a document that is in a different profile will produce a window that asks if you would like to switch to the correct profile.
- This activity log is your global log that tracks all loops in your account. Each loop in your account will have an individual log which tracks that particular loop with more detail.
On the home page, You will see any and all notifications about the activity in your dotloop. On the home page, on the right hand side there is an icon in the shape of a flag. When there is a notification that you have not checked yet, the flag will be red.
You can click on that icon, and a drop-down menu will appear displaying the most recent notifications for your account regarding specific documents. Clicking the names of the documents will open up that particular document and clear the notification regarding it. At the bottom of the drop down menu, there is a button that says SEE ALL NOTIFICATIONS. Clicking on this button will open up the Notification Center for your whole account.
Lastly, you can check notifications per loop on the loops page. If you are in grid view, the loop will have a notification bubble with the number of notifications in the bubble.
If in list view, the completion circle will display red to let you know there is a notification, which you can see the number of notifications for that loop specified.
- The notifications listed are for your entire account, not just the specific profile you are in.
- It is best to click on notifications as they come in and keep them cleared.
- If you click on a document link that is in a different profile from the one you are currently in, a window will appear and ask if you would like to switch to the profile that document is in.
